Helpful Information

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some common questions about beginning and participating in therapy.

What are your fees?

Individual therapy sessions are $120 for 60 minutes, $150 for 75 minutes, and $180 for 90 minutes.

Initial intake appointments are 90 minutes and cost $180. Fees are discussed before beginning treatment.

Do you accept insurance?

My practice is private pay only, and I do not accept or bill insurance directly.

Private-pay therapy allows us to make treatment decisions collaboratively, based on your individual needs rather than insurance requirements.

If your insurance includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement. Please check directly with your insurance provider about coverage and documentation requirements.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. I offer a complimentary consultation to help us determine whether working together might be a good fit.

This is an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, ask questions about my approach, and learn more about scheduling and next steps.

There is no obligation to begin therapy afterward.

How long are therapy sessions?

Standard individual therapy sessions are 60 minutes.

I also offer 75-minute and 90-minute appointments when additional time is appropriate for your therapeutic needs.

Initial intake appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes to allow time to understand your history, concerns, and goals for therapy.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I recognize that the cost of therapy can be an important consideration.

If finances are a concern, you’re welcome to contact me to discuss whether reduced-fee appointments are currently available.

Availability may be limited and is not guaranteed.

Where are sessions offered?

I provide individual therapy exclusively through secure video appointments.

Services are available to adults physically located in California or Florida at the time of their session.

Weekend appointments are available to help accommodate work and personal schedules.

What if we’re not a good fit?

Finding a therapist who feels like a good fit is an important part of therapy.

If we determine that another therapist or type of support may better meet your needs, we can discuss appropriate options and referrals.

My priority is helping you connect with care that feels supportive and appropriate for your circumstances.

Transparency in Care

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have insurance or are not using insurance to pay for care generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of scheduled healthcare services.

A Good Faith Estimate helps you understand anticipated charges before receiving care. It is not a contract and does not require you to receive services from a particular provider.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an appointment or at any time during treatment.

Ready to get started?

You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. A free consultation is an opportunity to ask questions, explore your needs, and see whether working together feels right.
